Andrea Núñez
Praised for her "blinding brilliance," debuting soprano Andrea Núñez is establishing herself as a versatile young artist. Ms. Núñez is an Alumna of l'Atelier Lyrique de l'Opera de Montréal, where as part of her tenure, she performed the roles of Kathleen in RIDERS TO THE SEA, the Page in RIGOLETTO, Woglinde in DAS RHEINGOLD, and Alice B. Toklas in Ricky Ian Gordon's 27. She also performed the roles of the Governess in THE TURN OF THE SCREW in collaboration with the Orchestre de l'Agora and Giulia in LA SCALA DI SETA in collaboration with the Orchestre symphonique de la Vallée-du-Haut-Saint-Laurent. In the United States, Ms. Núñez has participated in young artist programs in Saint Louis and Santa Fe performing Pvt. Sonia Gonzalez in the world premier of Ruo & Hwang's AN AMERICAN SOLDIER and Laura in the world premiere of Jennifer Higdon’s COLD MOUNTAIN. Further credits include the Canadian Opera Company, Pax Christi Chorale, the Toronto Symphony and she holds degrees from Western University and the University of Toronto.
