Brigitte Bogar

Brigitte Bogar, soprano. Her stage appearances include The Witch/The Mother in Hänsel und Gretel, The Foreign Woman in The Consul, Senta in Der fliegende Holländer, Leonora in Beethoven’s Fidelio, and Gutrune in Wagner’s Götterdämmerung. She has, among others, performed with Opera by Request, Oshawa Opera, SOLT, TOT, and OIC. She has presented music composed by Bernard Shaw at the Lincoln Centre in New York and sung at the Black Creek Festival with the London Symphonic Orchestra. In 2014, she recorded a CD featuring music by Bernard Shaw. She holds a Ph.D. in Music from York University and has lectured/performed/presented widely at invited public lectures/concerts in the USA, UK, Canada, Europe and Japan. Upcoming performances include Magda in The Consul.
