Julia MacVicar
Soprano (They/Them/Her) aka “Jules” is an opera singer and interdisciplinary artist based in Tkaronto. A singer, musician, actor, and poet from Epekwitk (Prince Edward Island), they spent five years in Kjipuktuk (Halifax, NS) pursuing a BA in Music at the Fountain School of Performing Arts at Dalhousie University. As a neurodivergent individual, MacVicar is passionate about increasing accessibility within creative spaces and exploring different narratives. Credits include: The Queen of the Night - The Magic Flute (FSPA Opera 2017); Gretel - Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel(SOLT 2022), Dido - James Rolfe’s Aeneas and Dido (FSPA Opera 2020), and Laoula - Emmanuel Chabrier’s L’étoile (FSPA Opera 2019).
