Sebastien Belcourt is a Toronto based baritone. A York University graduate in Classical Voice, he has sung with the Orpheus Choir and the Ottawa Bach Choir performing solos in major works such as J.S. Bach’s Mass in B Minor, St. John Passion and St. Matthew Passion, and Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. With the latter choir, he toured Europe and China. A lover of opera and operetta, some credits include: Masetto and Commendatore Don Giovanni with AEDO in Lucca, Italy; Don Fernando in Toronto City Opera’s Fidelioby Beethoven; Alaska Wolf Joe in Kurt Weill’s Rise and Fall of The City of Mahagonny with VOICEBOX: Opera in Concert; the Don in SOLT’s production of Don Giovanni; and most recently Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance and Njegus in The Merry Widow with Toronto Operetta Theatre.
